M33: The Triangulum Galaxy

NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

M33, also known as the Triangulum Galaxy, is a mid-sized spiral galaxy in our Local Group. It is about four times smaller than the Milky Way and Andromeda galaxies. Some astronomers think M33 might be a satellite of the more massive Andromeda Galaxy. Its proximity makes it appear larger in our sky than it is.
