The Hydra Cluster, also known as Abell 1060, contains over a hundred bright galaxies. Clusters like this are the largest gravitationally bound objects in the universe. All the bright, extended objects in this image are galaxies within the Hydra Cluster, except for the diffraction crosses, which are centered on foreground stars.
