This small, dark nebula is part of the Eagle Nebula, also known as M16. The Eagle Nebula is about 7,000 light-years away, filled with glowing gas and young stars. While Hubble has famously shown the Pillars of Creation here, this image focuses on a smaller, isolated dark cloud.
