On July 4th, the Mars Pathfinder spacecraft successfully landed on Mars using fireworks, a parachute, and airbags. The spacecraft appears healthy after its complicated landing sequence. This mosaic of images from the Martian surface was transmitted shortly after Pathfinder reestablished communication with its mission operators.
