COSMIC MESSAGE

The Pleiades star cluster is a beautiful grouping of stars in Taurus. To the unaided eye, it appears as a cluster, and telescopes reveal stars surrounded by blue dust. To the ROSAT observatory's X-ray telescopes, the cluster looks impressive, but slightly altered. This false-color image was produced from ROSAT observations.
