Denizen of the Tarantula Nebula

NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

Hodge 301 is a star cluster within the Tarantula Nebula, an energetic star-forming region 168,000 light-years away in the Large Magellanic Cloud. The stars in Hodge 301 formed tens of millions of years ago. The most massive ones quickly exhaust their fuel and explode, with the red giant stars in this cluster rapidly approaching that fate.
