COSMIC MESSAGE
M7 is an open star cluster visible to the naked eye in the tail of Scorpius. It contains about 100 stars, many of them bright blue, and spans 25 light-years. This cluster is about 200 million years old and lies a thousand light-years away. This image was taken by the Burrell-Schmidt Telescope at Kitt Peak National Observatory.
