M15: Dense Globular Star Cluster
NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE
M15 is a globular cluster, a dense ball of hundreds of thousands of stars, about 40,000 light-years away in Pegasus. This Hubble Space Telescope image shows thousands of individual stars in the cluster's central ten light-years. The stars are so tightly packed that even Hubble cannot fully resolve the very core.
