COSMIC MESSAGE
The 2001 Leonids Meteor Shower was one of the best in decades. This photo captures a bright meteor streaking across the sky, taken by a group who drove across Iowa and Minnesota to find clear skies. They pulled off onto a dark gravel road to watch the show. The Leonids are dust grains from Comet Tempel-Tuttle.
