In the Center of the Omega Nebula

NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

In the dark clouds of dust and molecular gas known as the Omega Nebula, stars continue to form. This Hubble Space Telescope image, taken by the Advanced Camera for Surveys, shows unprecedented detail in this star-forming region. Dark dust filaments, formed in the atmospheres of cool giant stars and supernova debris, lace the nebula's center. The red and blue hues come from glowing gas heated by radiation from massive, hot, young stars.
