COSMIC MESSAGE
After repairs to the Near Infrared Camera and Multi-Object Spectrometer, NICMOS, on the Hubble Space Telescope, astronomers used it to observe the Cone Nebula. This close-up image dramatically confirms the Hubble's infrared capabilities. It shows gas and dust clouds at the tip of the cone-shaped star-forming region.
