A Setting Sun Trail
NASA APOD · Anglo-Australian Observatory
COSMIC MESSAGE
The Sun appears to move in the sky because Earth rotates. Capturing a sun-trail, the path the Sun traces, is difficult due to its brightness. For this picture, a dark filter covered the camera lens, letting only a little light through. After the Sun set, the filter was removed to capture the foreground.
