Leonids Over Joshua Tree National Park

NASA APOD · Wally Pacholka (Astropics) & Tony Hallas (Astrophoto)
COSMIC MESSAGE

The Leonid Meteor Shower is predicted to have two peaks this year, just like last year. The first peak will be visible from Western Europe, and the second from North America. During these times, the shower could become a true meteor storm, with many meteors visible. This image shows the Leonids over Joshua Tree National Park.
