M74, also known as NGC 628, is a spiral galaxy with a nearly perfect face-on view. Located 30 million light-years away in Pisces, it contains about 100 billion stars. The graceful spiral arms are traced by bright blue star clusters and dark dust lanes, similar to our Milky Way.
