This video, taken by the Perseverance rover in 2022, shows Mars's moon Phobos crossing the Sun. Phobos is much smaller than Earth's Moon, at only 11.5 kilometers across, but it orbits much closer to Mars. Phobos is so close to Mars that it is expected to break up and crash into the planet within the next 50 million years.
