COSMIC MESSAGE
NASA's New Horizons spacecraft, shown in an artist's vision, is on its way to the Pluto-Charon system and the Kuiper Belt. After a planned 2006 launch, it will use Jupiter for a gravity assist to save fuel and cut travel time. The 465-kilogram probe will then explore the outer Solar System.
