NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

After a seven-month journey, NASA's Spirit Rover landed on Mars and returned its first images. This mosaic panorama, taken by Spirit's navigation camera, shows a 360-degree view of its landing site in Gusev Crater. The spacecraft is in the foreground, with the crater floor, thought to be an ancient lake bed, extending to the horizon.
