COSMIC MESSAGE

These two galaxies, NGC 4038 and NGC 4039, are colliding sixty million light-years away in the constellation Corvus. The Chandra X-ray Observatory captured this image, showing bright points of light that are black holes and neutron stars. Hot gas bubbles, glowing in X-rays, surround these energetic sources.
