COSMIC MESSAGE
The Heart Nebula, IC 1805, glows brightly in red light from hydrogen, earning it its name. The red glow and the nebula's shape are created by a small group of stars near its center. This close-up from the Canada France Hawaii Telescope spans about 30 light-years and shows many of these bright, hot stars.
