Saturn's Dragon Storm

NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

This false-color image from the Cassini spacecraft shows a giant thunderstorm on Saturn, dubbed the "Dragon Storm." The storm, visible as orange, swirling clouds in the planet's southern hemisphere, was found to be the source of mysterious radio bursts. These bursts were monitored by Cassini instruments as the spacecraft orbited the ringed planet. This makes it similar to thunderstorms on Earth, but on a much larger scale.
