Stars, Dust and Nebula in NGC 6559
NASA APOD · Jean-Charles Cuillandre
COSMIC MESSAGE
NGC 6559 is an active star-forming region where pandemonium reigns. Red emission nebulae of hydrogen glow alongside blue reflection nebulae of dust, and dark absorption nebulae obscure background light. The massive stars forming here emit energetic light and winds that sculpt their birthplace.
