COSMIC MESSAGE

Comet Tempel 1, seen here with a fuzzy blue tail, is orbiting the Sun every 5.5 years. This image, taken in Virgo, also shows two galaxies, NGC 4762 and NGC 4754, which are part of the large Virgo Cluster. NGC 4762 is an edge-on lenticular galaxy, appearing as a narrow gash of light.
