COSMIC MESSAGE
NGC 2359 is an emission nebula with the popular name Thor's Helmet. Its winged appearance has also led some to call it the 'duck nebula'. By any name, NGC 2359 is a bubble-like nebula about 30 light-years across. It is blown by energetic winds from an extremely hot Wolf-Rayet star, seen near its center, that is a rare, massive blue giant.
