COSMIC MESSAGE
To see galaxies beyond our own, astronomers must look past the stars of the Milky Way. NGC 6384 is a spiral galaxy about 80 million light-years away in Ophiuchus. It spans an estimated 150,000 light-years. The blue spiral arms show new star formation, and the yellowish core contains older stars.
