COSMIC MESSAGE
Deneb, a bright, hot, supergiant star, sits at the top center of this 20-frame mosaic. It spans 12 degrees across the northern end of Cygnus the Swan, which is crowded with stars and luminous gas clouds along the plane of our Milky Way Galaxy. The dark Northern Coal Sack Nebula extends from Deneb toward the bottom center. The reddish glow of the North America Nebula and the Pelican Nebula are at the upper left.
