COSMIC MESSAGE

Early risers on October 7, 2007, could see Venus, the Moon, and Saturn close together in the predawn sky. This image captures dazzling Venus at the upper right, a crescent Moon in the center, and Saturn at the lower left. The entire grouping fit within a five-degree field of view. Earthshine, sunlight reflected from Earth's dayside, illuminates the night side of the Moon.
