Early morning on November 5, 2007, astronomer Larry Ciupik took this self-portrait of Venus and the waning crescent Moon. The brightest celestial objects in our sky, Venus and the Moon, appear overexposed in the image. On the far left, the International Space Station streaks through the 30-second exposure.
