COSMIC MESSAGE

These three reflection nebulae, NGC 1977, NGC 1975, and NGC 1973, are often overlooked in Orion. They sit along Orion's sword, just north of the brighter Orion Nebula. These nebulae are about 1,500 light-years away and are associated with Orion's giant molecular cloud.
