T Tauri and Hind's Variable Nebula

NASA APOD · Don Goldman
COSMIC MESSAGE

T Tauri is the orange star at the center of this view, the prototype for a class of variable stars. Nearby is Hind's Variable Nebula, a dusty yellow cosmic cloud. Both the star and the nebula, over 400 light-years away, vary in brightness, adding to the mystery of this region at the edge of a molecular cloud.
