Young stars are forming within the Rho Ophiuchi cloud complex, about 400 light-years away in the constellation Ophiuchus. This infrared view from the Spitzer Space Telescope shows cosmic dust glowing with the heat of newborn stars. These stars are heating the surrounding gas and dust, creating a nursery.
