This unusual image of a lunar eclipse was made by leaving a camera shutter open during the total lunar eclipse of March 3, 2007. The Moon's movement across the sky is recorded as a long, curved trail. The varying brightness and color along the path show the different stages of the eclipse, as the Moon moved into and out of Earth's shadow.
