COSMIC MESSAGE
Sometimes, finding a delicate lunar crescent requires a bit of searching. This dramatic picture from Bretagne, France, shows a very young moon, just 15 hours and 38 minutes old, captured near sunset. Its slight, irregular, sunlit arc opens upward just above a dark cloud bank. The early evening crescent moon is a lovely sight, but a very young one can be elusive.
