COSMIC MESSAGE
The Trifid Nebula, M20, is a star-forming region in Sagittarius. It's only about 300,000 years old. Clouds of glowing gas mingle with dark dust lanes, which give the nebula its name. A single massive star near the center causes much of the Trifid's glow.
