COSMIC MESSAGE
These wisps are all that remain of a Milky Way star that exploded about 7,500 years ago. That supernova left behind the Veil Nebula, also known as the Cygnus Loop. At the time, the expanding cloud was likely as bright as a crescent Moon, visible for weeks. Today, the remnant has faded, visible only through a small telescope in the constellation Cygnus.
