COSMIC MESSAGE
This bright meteor flashed through the early morning sky as part of the annual Perseid Meteor Shower. It is one of over 350 frames captured on August 12 from Joshua Tree National Park, California. The Perseids are caused by dust from comet Swift-Tuttle, which vaporizes as it enters Earth's atmosphere, creating these visible trails.
