COSMIC MESSAGE

A meteor from the Quadrantid shower streaks across the sky, just to the right of the bright star Beta Scorpii. High above the horizon, a faint, fuzzy green spot marks Comet Lulin. This celestial pairing occurred in the early morning sky of January 4th, 2009. The comet, discovered in 2007, was too faint to see without aid.
