The Rembrandt impact basin on Mercury is a vast crater, spanning over 700 kilometers. Discovered by the MESSENGER spacecraft, it is one of the youngest large impact basins on the planet, at about 4 billion years old. Images of its floor show unusually high amounts of iron, indicating a unique geological history for this region.
