NGC 2392 Nebula from Hubble

NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

NGC 2392, a planetary nebula, was discovered by William Herschel in 1787. The Hubble Space Telescope later imaged this complex gas cloud. The gas seen here was once the outer layers of a Sun-like star, ejected about 10,000 years ago. Strong winds from the central star are still pushing out the inner filaments.
