Despina is a small moon of Neptune, only 148 kilometers across. It was discovered in 1989 by the Voyager 2 spacecraft. Twenty years later, an amateur image processor found images in the Voyager 2 data showing Despina's shadow in transit across Neptune's blue cloud tops.
