A Triple Sunrise Over Gdansk Bay

NASA APOD · Barry & Noemi Diacon (McMaster U.)
COSMIC MESSAGE

The Sun rises only once, but sometimes our atmosphere plays tricks. This photo from Gdansk Bay in Poland shows a triple sunrise. This optical effect is usually caused by reflections inside the camera. Still, the image is intriguing because it shows the Sun appearing in three places at once.
