The central Milky Way, stretching from Sagittarius to Scorpius, is a stunning part of the night sky. This gigapixel mosaic, part of ESO's Gigagalaxy Zoom Project, captures the region in immense detail. It was created from 1,200 individual images over 29 nights at the ESO Paranal Observatory in Chile, totaling 200 hours of exposure time.
