Fermi Catalogs the Gamma-ray Sky

The Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope has mapped the gamma-ray sky, revealing nature's most energetic particle accelerators. This first all-sky catalog, compiled from 11 months of data, includes 1,451 sources. These sources emit photons with energies billions of times greater than visible light, showing us a universe of extreme phenomena.
