COSMIC MESSAGE

These two cosmic owls are planetary nebulae, the remnants of sun-like stars. M97, the northern Owl Nebula, is in Ursa Major. Its southern counterpart, PLN 283+25.1, is in Hydra. Both are remarkably symmetric, round, and about 2 light-years across.
