COSMIC MESSAGE
NGC 6188 is an emission nebula in the constellation Ara, about 4,000 light-years away. Dark shapes with bright edges, tens of light-years long, are sculpted by the winds and ultraviolet radiation from massive young stars. These stars, part of the Ara OB1 association, formed only a few million years ago.
