COSMIC MESSAGE
The total lunar eclipse on June 15 was one of the longest and darkest in recent years. Even during totality, the Moon appeared as a somber, red disk in the night sky. This reddish illumination comes from all the sunsets and sunrises around the edges of a silhouetted Earth, as seen from the Moon's perspective.
