Neptune: Once Around
NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE
Neptune rotates on its axis in about 16 hours. These four images, taken by the Hubble Space Telescope in late June and spaced four hours apart, show one full Neptune day. They combine visible and near-infrared filters to highlight high-altitude clouds of methane ice crystals against the planet's blue cloud tops.
