Comet Garradd, or C/2009 P1, passed through the constellation Vulpecula. It visited a star field along the Milky Way that includes the Coat Hanger asterism. This asterism is likely a chance alignment of stars, not a true cluster. However, the compact open star cluster NGC 6802 is also in this field.
