COSMIC MESSAGE

The Great Nebula in Orion, M42, is a famous star-forming region. Its glowing gas clouds and hot young stars are on the right in this image. The smaller M43 is near the center, and dusty, bluish reflection nebulae NGC 1977 are on the left. This region is at the edge of a giant molecular cloud complex.
