Spitzer's Orion
NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE
The Orion Nebula is a stellar nursery 1,500 light-years away. Spitzer's infrared view shows the region's hot, young stars in the Trapezium Cluster. This image also reveals many protostars, still forming within the dust and gas. Infrared light lets us peer through the obscuring dust that visible light cannot penetrate.
