COSMIC MESSAGE
Five sounding rockets launched from Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia created these luminous white clouds. The rockets released a chemical tracer to study Earth's ionosphere and its high-altitude jet stream. The trails were visible against the predawn sky and the arc of the Milky Way.
